When the Milwaukee Bucks visit the Charlotte Hornets on Wednesday night, they'll be hoping for increased enthusiasm and the desired outcome.

The Bucks went from being one of the top teams in the NBA to one of the worst after losing 125-96 to the Oklahoma City Thunder on the road on Monday.

In the Bucks' defeat at Oklahoma City, coach Doc Rivers described the players as exhausted and deployed a makeshift lineup. Milwaukee had now lost four straight games.

With two games remaining in a nine-game homestand, the Hornets are on a five-game losing run. They have only triumphed once thus far.

When Giannis Antetokounmpo missed Monday's game due to what was described as right patella tendinopathy, the Bucks had just finished a five-game run in which he scored 30 points or more. In addition to Bobby Portis Jr. missing games due to personal reasons, Damian Lillard and Brook Lopez were also sidelined due to injury.

Lopez and Portis are anticipated to play on Wednesday, but Antetokounmpo and Lillard are labeled as questionable.

Milwaukee's defense, which gave up 38 points or more in each of the opening three quarters, was its biggest problem.

If there was one positive aspect to Charlotte's 124-114 loss to the poorest team in the NBA, the Washington Wizards, it was forward Miles Bridges, who recorded his first triple-double of the season with 24 points, 10 assists, and 10 rebounds.

Against the Wizards, Charlotte trailed 77-54 at the half after falling behind by 26 points in the first half.

In a three-team deal that also included the Chicago Bulls, the Sacramento Kings sent guard De'Aaron Fox to the Spurs, where he could make his San Antonio debut. Just hours after the deal was formally announced, San Antonio lost to the Memphis Grizzlies 128-109 on Monday, and the 27-year-old was not involved in the game.

The Spurs are keen to team Fox with second-year sensation Victor Wembanyama, who is averaging 25.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 6.1 assists this season.

Against Memphis, Wembanyama finished with team-highs in both points (27) and rebounds (10). Jeremy Sochan scored 14 points and pulled down eight rebounds off the bench, while Stephon Castle scored 21 points.

Given that the trade deadline is Thursday at 3 p.m. ET, Atlanta might also want to get busy. Paul George, a forward with the Philadelphia 76ers, has been connected to the Hawks. He might relieve some of the load on the Atlanta frontcourt, which lost Jalen Johnson to a season-ending shoulder injury.

With No. 1 overall pick Zaccharie Risacher averaging 21.3 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 1.7 assists over his last three games, the Hawks have been getting a boost from inside for the time being. This season, he is averaging 11.3 points per game.

Since the beginning of 2025, Daniels has scored in double figures in 13 of 16 games. He leads the league in steals with 137 this season and has averaged 14.9 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 4.3 assists during that time.

The Hawks and Spurs will meet for the second time this season on Wednesday. On December 19, San Antonio defeated visiting Atlanta 133-126 in overtime.
