Philadelphia 76ers vs New York Knicks Preview, What to Watch

The New York Knicks welcome the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday night in the NBA, a matchup between two rivals from the Atlantic Division.  With a 37–20 record, the Knicks are in third place in the East, while the 76ers are in 11th place with a 20–37 record.  This is our prediction for the match.

For Knicks supporters, it has been a difficult week as their club has lost two straight games against the best in the East.  The Cavaliers' crushing 142-105 road loss last Friday was followed by the Celtics' 118-105 away loss on Sunday.

It was the first time New York had dropped two straight games since early January, and the losses ended a three-game winning streak.  New York will now want to improve on their 20-10 home record when they return to MSG.

In recent weeks, Philadelphia's terrible season has gotten worse rather than better.  The 76ers have now fallen to 17 games below.500 after suffering their eighth consecutive defeat at the hands of the Chicago Bulls on Monday, a 142-110 thrashing.

Surprisingly, they are still in the running for a postseason berth, behind the 10th-place Bulls, the final play-in slot, by just 2.5 games.

Portland Trail Blazers vs Washington Wizards Preview, What to Watch

It's also worth mentioning that they were on a 12-match losing streak before the win. Heading into this clash, they will be eyeing a second consecutive home win for the first time since December 27, 2024.

The Portland Trail Blazers resumed the NBA regular season with a 110-102 home defeat against the Los Angeles Lakers. This comes after the All-Star Weekend.

However, the Blazers have managed to bounce back from that setback with two consecutive wins. The most recent of those wins was a 114-112 away triumph against the struggling Jazz.

Coming into this game, they have shown some stability in their performance with an 8-4 record in their last 12 outings. Away from home, though, they have lost three of their last four matches.

It's also important to note that before to the victory, they had lost 12 straight games.  For the first time since December 27, 2024, they will be aiming for a second straight home victory going into this match.

The Portland Trail Blazers defeated the Los Angeles Lakers 110-102 at home to start the NBA regular season.  Following the All-Star Weekend is this.

But with two straight victories, the Blazers have recovered from that loss.  Most recently, they defeated the struggling Jazz 114–112 on the road.

With an 8–4 record in their previous 12 games, they have demonstrated some consistency in their play going into this match.  However, they have dropped three of their previous four games away from home.

Toronto Raptors vs Indiana Pacers Preview, What to Watch

In this Eastern Conference NBA game, the Indiana Pacers welcome the Toronto Raptors on Wednesday night at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.  With a 32-24 record, the Pacers are in fourth place in the conference, while the Raptors are in 13th place with an 18-40 record.  Now, let's anticipate the match!

The Pacers will try to recover from Monday's 125-116 home loss to the Nuggets.  As a result, Indiana lost for the fourth time in their last ten games overall and ended their three-game winning streak.

Since the beginning of the year, the hosts have been among the league's most popular teams.

Since January 1st, the Pacers have amassed a 16-6 record; the only teams to accomplish better in that time frame are the Nuggets and Thunder.

Toronto has subsequently returned to reality after experiencing their finest play of the season during the latter two weeks of January.  The Raptors have now dropped seven of their last nine games after losing to the Celtics 111-101 at home Sunday night.

Center Jakob Poeltl, who has missed the last nine games in a row, might be a major miss for the visitors on Wednesday.  The Raptors allow up an average of 120.4 points per game when Poeltl is not on the squad, as opposed to 115.2 when he is.

Boston Celtics vs Detroit Pistons Preview, What to Watch

The Detroit Pistons will play the Boston Celtics at Little Caesars Arena on Wednesday night in the NBA.  With a 32-26 record, the Pistons are in sixth place in the Eastern Conference, while the reigning champion Celtics are in second place with a 42-16 record.  This is our prediction for the match.

As the start of the postseason draws nearer, the Celtics are progressing well this season.  Boston enters this conference match having defeated the Raptors 111-101 on the road on Tuesday to record their sixth consecutive victory.

With an outstanding nine-game winning streak over their last ten games, they have the third-best record in the NBA, only surpassed by the Cavaliers and Thunder.

With a 31-9 record thus far this season, Boston has dominated while playing other East clubs.

This season, the Pistons hope to secure a top-six seed and an automatic postseason place.  Given that the squad only won 14 games the previous season and finished last in the East, it is a credit to the job that J.B. Bickerstaff has done with them this season.

After defeating the Clippers 106-97 at home, Detroit has won seven straight games and is currently on fire.  This season, they have established themselves with a resolute, physical defense and a distinct team identity.

Atlanta Hawks vs Miami Heat Preview, What to Watch

The Miami Heat (26-30) and Atlanta Hawks (27-31) will play an NBA Eastern Conference game at the Kaseya Center on Wednesday.  The Hawks are in eighth place and the Heat are in ninth.  This is our prediction for the match.

Following a disappointing five-game road trip, the Miami Heat are back in familiar surroundings.  They had one victory and four losses during this time.

They suffered their second consecutive loss on Tuesday, falling to the Atlanta Hawks 98-86.  After losing to the Bucks (120-113), they were playing their second night in a back-to-back.

The fact that the Heat have only won once in seven games has been more worrisome than their waning play.

Three of those games ended in fewer than 90 points, and six of those games ended in losses.

However, the Atlanta Hawks defeated the struggling Miami Heat 98-86 at home, demonstrating that they were not affected by exhaustion.

They had lost 148-143 at home to the Detroit Pistons in their previous game, therefore this was the second night of a back-to-back.

They lost two games and won one during their three-game home losing streak.  They have already won three of their past four games when they travel.  For a team that has lost four straight games, this is a huge improvement.

Oklahoma City Thunder vs Brooklyn Nets Preview, What to Watch

The NBA cross-conference matchup between the Brooklyn Nets (21-36) and the Oklahoma City Thunder (46-11) is scheduled for Wednesday at Barclays Center.  The Thunder are ranked first in the Western Conference, and the Nets are ranked eleventh in the Eastern Conference.  This is our prediction for the match.

On Tuesday, the Brooklyn Nets were favored to defeat the Washington Wizards.  However, because they lost 107-99, such a commitment didn't fit with their goals.

This follows an outstanding performance against the 76ers, where they unexpectedly won 105-103 away from home.

Notwithstanding the criticism, the Nets have played consistently.

In their last ten games, they have won seven of them and held their opponents to less than 100 points six times.

Conversely, the Minnesota Timberwolves, who were underappreciated, shocked the Oklahoma City Thunder on Tuesday.

The Thunder were outplayed in the fourth quarter (41-19), despite dominating the first three.  They lost 131–128 at home as a result of that, which forced the game into overtime.

Given that it was their second consecutive night against a new team, the loss seemed understandable.  They are still in terrific form going into this game, having won nine of their previous eleven games, despite that outcome.

Los Angeles Clippers vs Chicago Bulls Preview, What to Watch

In their upcoming NBA game, the Chicago Bulls will visit the Los Angeles Clippers.  The Bulls are currently in 10th place in the Eastern Conference, while their opponents are in sixth place in the Western Conference.  Our prediction for this match is below.

With a commanding performance against the Sixers in Philadelphia last time out, the Bulls returned to winning ways.  A 142-110 victory was achieved by Billy Donovan's team, who had surprisingly performed better away from home.

That victory ended a six-game losing streak.  The Bulls' current record is 23-35.  A month ago, they defeated the Clippers 112-99 in the rematch.

Since the All-Star break, the Clippers have had a disastrous run of results.  Despite having a three-match winning streak going into the recess, Ty Lue's team has lost their last three games.

The three defeats have all occurred away from home against East clubs.  Last time out, the Pistons defeated LA 106-97.  Their current record of 31–26 puts them at risk of falling into the play-in bracket.

This decline is the result of the visitors' injuries.  Norman Powell, Ben Simmons, and Kawhi Leonard have all missed time and are probably going to do so again.

Sacramento Kings vs Utah Jazz Preview, What to Watch

In an attempt to get back to winning ways, the Utah Jazz will host the Sacramento Kings in their upcoming NBA game.  They are 15 games behind their visitors in 10th place and come into this game with the worst record in the Western Conference.  Continue reading to see our prediction for this game.

The Trail Blazers defeated the Jazz 114–112 at home in their most recent game.  With a 14-43 record, they fell to last place in the West after suffering their seventh defeat in the previous ten games.

The Jazz have lost 34 of 40 games against other West clubs and 21 of 28 games at home.  Due to an injury situation, Utah's best players are probably going to miss this game.

The injury report names Walker Kessler, John Collins, Lauri Markkanen, Jordan Clarkson, and Collin Sexton.

The Kings have defeated the Jazz seven times in a row.  They are looking to sweep this regular season series and are now 3-0 against their soon-to-be hosts.

The team led by Doug Christie, who is striving for a postseason berth, will show up with a win in hand.  The Kings just defeated the Hornets 130-88 in a thrilling game.

They had won by a margin of more than 40 points twice this season.  Against the Jazz, it was the first such victory.
