New York Knicks vs Boston Celtics Preview, What to Watch

In their upcoming NBA game, the New York Knicks will travel to play the Boston Celtics in an attempt to get back to winning ways.  The Knicks trail the Celtics in second place by three games going into this game, and they have the third-best record in the Eastern Conference.  Our prediction for this match is below.

The Celtics have only lost once in their last nine games going into this contest.  After the All-Star break, Joe Mazzulla's team returned to action and trounced the Sixers 124-104 in Philadelphia. They have now won four straight games.

With the victory, they became just the third team to reach 40 wins this season.  This season, Boston has been playing well and is ranked in the top 10 for both offense and

The Knicks recently suffered a humiliating road loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers, who are East highflyers.

Cleveland defeated Tom Thibodeau's team 142-105 on the second night of a back-to-back following the All-Star break.  Josh Hurt's knee problem caused him to miss the game, his second consecutive absence.

The defeat ended a winning streak of three games and was the worst under Thibodeau's leadership in five years.  New York's current record is 37-19.

Dallas Mavericks vs Golden State Warriors Preview, What to Watch

In their last NBA regular season game of the year, the Golden State Warriors will host the Dallas Mavericks.  With just 1.5 games separating them, both teams are tied for first place in the West rankings.  Our prediction for this match is below.

The Warriors are currently ranked eighth.  They have won four of their last five games since Jimmy Butler joined via trade.  They now have a 29-27 record as a result of this.

Following the All-Star break, Steve Kerr's team defeated the Kings 132-108 to start the season.  After a long and unsteady seven-match road tour, they have won their last two games and are back home.

Since his arrival, this will be Butler's first home game.  The Warriors want to finish this series with a 2-2 record.

In their three encounters with the Warriors this season, the Mavericks have prevailed twice.  Among those triumphs was a 143-133 triumph at Chase Center.  They will be sure of winning again because they are coming in excellent form.

Jason Kidd's team has won three straight games to wrap up a five-game homestand.  then defeated the Warriors 111-107 to start this run, and then defeated the Pelicans 111-103 to finish.

The Mavericks have improved to a 31-26 record and are currently ranked seventh in the Western Conference.

Los Angeles Clippers vs Indiana Pacers Preview, What to Watch

The Los Angeles Clippers' next NBA game is away against the Indiana Pacers.  While their hosts are ranked fourth in the East, they come into this game as the sixth seed in the Western Conference.  See our prediction for this match by reading on.

The Pacers have ended a two-game losing streak by winning their last two games.  They returned to action following the All-Star break, defeating the Grizzlies 127-113 at home.

With 31 victories to date, Rick Carlisle's team is eight games over.500.  The Pacers defeated the Clippers 119–112 in their season opener in Los Angeles.

With Isaiah Jackson, a longtime absentee, the sole name on their injury list, Indianapolis has no recent injury concerns.

The Clippers come into this game looking to get back to winning ways and get revenge for the Pacers' defeat at home. After the break, Ty Lue's team, who had also won 31 games, lost to the Bucks 116-110 to start the season.

That outcome ended a three-match winning streak as they proceeded on an eight-game road tour. Because of a knee issue, LA was without Norman Powell in Milwaukee.

Powell leads them in scoring with an average of 24.2 points per game, so his absence is a major setback.

Detroit Pistons vs Atlanta Hawks Preview, What to Watch

The NBA's next game will be between the Atlanta Hawks and the Detroit Pistons. The Hawks are four games behind their sixth-place guests going into this game and are the ninth seed in the Eastern Conference. See our prediction for this match below.

The previous two games were losses for the Hawks. Quin Snyder's team lost a tough overtime game to the Knicks just before the All-Star break. After the break, they resumed their campaign, but the Magic defeated them 114-108 at home.

They fell to four games below.500 after that, their 30th defeat of the season. However, three weeks earlier in Detroit, the Hawks defeated the Pistons in their most recent meeting.

Due to injuries, Vit Krejci and Larry Nance Jr. are both out.

The Pistons are playing well right now. They have now won five straight games, which is the second time this season that they have done so.

For the first time this season, J.B. Bickerstaff's team is now aiming to win six straight games. Detroit defeated the Spurs 125-110 on the road to start the season following the All-Star break.

They now lead the play-in spots by three games after winning 30 of 56 games.

The only player the visitors are anticipated to miss is Jaden Ivey, who has no current injury concerns.

Phoenix Suns vs Toronto Raptors Preview, What to Watch

In their upcoming NBA game, the Toronto Raptors take on the Phoenix Suns in an attempt to get back to winning ways. Their guests are presently ranked 11th in the West Conference, while they are currently ranked 13th in the Eastern Conference. Continue reading to see our prediction for this game.

The Toronto Raptors haven't won at home in four games and have dropped their last two games. When the season resumed following the All-Star break, Darko Rajakovic's team lost to the Miami Heat in overtime.

They presently have a 17-39 record after losing six of their previous seven games. Despite suffering an injury against the Heat, Scottie Barnes is not listed on the injury report for this game.

However, Brandon Ingram is still not ready to make his debut, and Jakob Poeltl is out due to a hip injury.

The Suns defeated the Bulls 121-117 in Chicago to end a four-game losing streak. Their second game following the All-Star break was that one.

After the break, Mike Budenholzer's team returned to action with a humiliating defeat to the Spurs. After that triumph in Chicago, they are now on the second night of a back-to-back.

Since Devin Booker, Bradley Beal, and Kevin Durant are all healthy, the Suns don't have any serious injury concerns. Due to injury, their big three have not played together this season.

With 27 victories, the Suns are now only three games away from surpassing.500.

Washington Wizards vs Orlando Magic Preview, What to Watch

Next up for the Orlando Magic is the NBA's struggling Washington Wizards. While their opponents are at the bottom of the conference, the Magic currently have the seventh-best record in the East. Our prediction for this match is below.

The Magic recently suffered a heartbreaking 105-104 loss against the Grizzlies at home. With two minutes remaining against the Grizzlies, Jamahl Mosley's team was up four points, but they were unable to score further, which resulted in the defeat.

They will be eager to get back on track after this ended a two-match winning streak. The Magic's season has been hindered by injuries, since the majority of their players have missed significant amounts of action.

Moe Wagner, Jonathan Isaac, and Jalen Suggs are not available.

The last seven times the Wizards faced the Magic, they lost. In their first encounter of the season, they were crushed 121-94 back in November.

Given their current performance, they might suffer yet another defeat. The remaining five games were losses for Brian Keefe's team. The most recent was a 104-101 defeat against the Bucks at home when they started the season following the All-Star break.

Six players are listed as injured for Washington, who have lost 46 of their last 55 games. Saddiq Bey, Malcolm Brogdon, Marcus Smart, and Khris Middleton are all absent. Bilal Coulibaly and Alex Sarr are dubious.

Miami Heat vs Milwaukee Bucks Preview, What to Watch

The Miami Heat and the Milwaukee Bucks will meet for the third time this NBA season. With a 4.5-game lead over the eighth-place Heat, the Bucks start this game as the fifth seed in the East. Our prediction is below.

Doc Rivers' team improved to a 31-24 record after defeating the Clippers by six points at home and narrowly defeating the Wizards 104-101 on the road in the final two games.

Since it was the second game in a back-to-back, the Bucks won't be worried about the slim margin victory over the lowly Wizards.

In addition to Bobby Portis' suspension, the most recent injury report lists Giannis Antentokunmpo and Damian Lillard as probable.

The Heat defeated the Raptors 120-111 in overtime last time out, resuming their winning ways. In their first game following the All-Star break, Erik Spoelstra's team looks to end a four-game losing streak.

In a patchy campaign in which they had lost 28 times, that was their 26th win. The Heat haven't won consecutive games in a month and are 15-16 versus other East clubs.

This is the sixth consecutive match that Kevin Love would miss due to personal reasons. The Heat have lost both of their meetings with the Bucks this season and have failed to win.

San Antonio Spurs vs New Orleans Pelicans Preview, What to Watch

Without standout big man Victor Wembanyama, the San Antonio Spurs will have a difficult time making it to the play-in tournament.

Starting on Sunday, the two rivals from the Southwest Division will play each other twice in three nights in New Orleans.

Since revealing that Wembanyama will miss the remainder of the season due to a blood clot in his right shoulder, the Spurs, who are now in 12th place in the Western Conference, have gone 1-1.

Wembanyama's departure follows a trade for guard De'Aaron Fox earlier this month.

Wembanyama was averaging a team-high 11.0 rebounds per game, thus his absence is felt in many ways, but particularly on the boards.

San Antonio lost to Detroit 125-110 on Friday in Austin, Texas, losing by a margin of 53-32, allowing 20 offensive rebounds, and scoring 21 points on second chances.

The Pelicans, who rank 24th in the NBA in rebounds per game (42.9) as of Friday, have struggled with rebounding all season.

The center  Kelly Olynyk made his Pelicans debut by starting Friday's 111-103 loss to Dallas. Olynyk was acquired just before the trade deadline in a transaction that sent Brandon Ingram to Toronto.  He hadn't played in a game since February 5.

Starting with rookie big Yves Missi, who finished with six points, ten rebounds, and four blocks in 24 minutes, Olynyk finished with four points, three rebounds, and three assists.

Green bemoaned the fact that New Orleans "slowed down a bit" in the fourth quarter, scoring only 21 points after scoring 82 points in the first three quarters, despite outscoring the Mavericks 53-47.

In 27 minutes, Zion Williamson scored 29 points on 11 of 15 shots from the field to lead the Pelicans.  In his previous four games, he is shooting 71 percent from the field (46 of 65).

Oklahoma City Thunder vs Minnesota Timberwolves Preview, What to Watch

On Sunday night in Minneapolis, the Oklahoma City Thunder will play the Minnesota Timberwolves in an attempt to continue their winning streak.

Oklahoma City defeated the Utah Jazz 130-107 on Friday in Salt Lake City, and they have now won eight of their previous nine games.  The Thunder and Timberwolves will then play a home-and-home series, with both teams traveling south following Sunday's game to play again in Oklahoma City on Monday.

The Timberwolves have recently encountered a roadblock with three losses in their previous four games, but Minnesota has also performed well over the past month.  They just lost to the Houston Rockets 121-115 on the road on Friday.

The Timberwolves have lost by a combined total of eight points in their last two games.  They have lost four of their last six games by two points.

Chris Finch, the coach of the Timberwolves, wants his team to perform better in late-game and close scenarios.  Against the Thunder, he will be hoping his side can withstand pressure.

The Timberwolves are led by Anthony Edwards, who scores 27.6 points per contest.  He is hitting 41.1 percent from three-point range and 43.9 percent overall.

The team's top scorers are rounded out by Naz Reid (14.6) and Jaden McDaniels (11.6), as second-leading scorer Julius Randle (18.9 points per game) is sidelined due to a groin injury.

The Thunder's top scorer (32.2 points per game) and assist provider (6.1) is Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.  Chet Holmgren, who returned four games ago after missing almost three months due to a damaged hip, is in third place with 15.1 points in 14 games, while Williams is in second place with 20.9 points per game.

Thunder coach Mark Daigneault has been able to employ a "two-big" lineup since Holmgren's return, pairing the 7-foot-1 Holmgren with 7-footer Isaiah Hartenstein.  The Thunder have played with just one big man on the court and a smaller lineup for the majority of the season.

On their home floor on December 31, the Thunder defeated the other team 113-105.  The following game, played on home court on February 13, was won by Minnesota 116-101.
