San Antonio Spurs vs Washington Wizards Preview, What to Watch

On Monday night, the Washington Wizards will meet the San Antonio Spurs at the Capital One Arena in the NBA. The Spurs (22-28) are ranked 12th in the Western Conference, while the Wizards (9-43) are at the bottom of the Eastern Conference. Now, let's anticipate the match!

The Atlanta Hawks defeated the Washington Wizards 125-111 on Saturday, handing them their 43rd defeat in 52 games this season.

Jordan Poole and Bub Carrington both scored more over 20 points, but Washington's defense once again proved to be the problem, giving up 78 points in the second and third quarters.

This season, the Wizards are in the bottom five on both sides of the scoring scale, ranking 27th in terms of points scored (107.9) and last in terms of points against (121.6).

The San Antonio Spurs, meanwhile, need a win here after falling to the Magic 121-111 on the road on Saturday, their ninth defeat in 12 games.

San Antonio made 13 of 30 shots from beyond the arc and shot a strong 53% from the field as a team, but they struggled in the last three minutes of the game and lost by a score of 10-2.

The Spurs rank in the middle of the table in both categories, ranking 16th in terms of points scored (112.8) and 19th in terms of points given up (114.3%).

Minnesota Timberwolves vs Cleveland Cavaliers Preview, What to Watch

When the Cleveland Cavaliers play the Minnesota Timberwolves at the Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse on Monday, NBA activity will return. Right now, the Timberwolves (30-23) are sixth in the Western Conference and the Cavaliers (42-10) are first in the Eastern Conference. Now, let's forecast the match.

The Cleveland Cavaliers easily defeated the Washington Wizards on Friday, ending the game 132-124 after taking a 16-point lead in the last quarter.

As the Cavaliers made 51% of their 94 field goals, Donovan Mitchell finished with 33 points, one rebound, and five assists, while Evan Mobley and Darius Garland also scored more than 20 points.

Despite giving up 112.1 points per game (11th overall), Cleveland maintains the second-best offensive average in the league (122.4 points per game).

In the meantime, the Minnesota Timberwolves defeated the Portland Trail Blazers 114-98 on Saturday to record their third straight win.

The Timberwolves overturned a 15-point deficit with a fantastic second-half performance led by Jaden McDaniels, who finished with 30 points, 10 rebounds, and four assists.

Although Minnesota only averages 111.7 points per game (20th in the NBA), their defense, which allows 108.0 points per game (fourth overall), has been their main strength.

Atlanta Hawks vs Orlando Magic Preview, What to Watch

NBA action continues Monday night at the Amway Center as the Orlando Magic entertain the Atlanta Hawks. The Magic (26-28) and Hawks (25-28) are ranked eighth and ninth in the Eastern Conference, respectively. Now, let's forecast the match.

The Orlando Magic overcame the San Antonio Spurs 112-111 on Saturday after falling behind for more than 35 minutes. They got their second wind in the last quarter.

With 33 points, 12 rebounds, and five assists, Franz Wagner maintained his lead, but Paolo Banchero added 17 points of his own, including the game-winning clutch basket.

Despite having the league's lowest offensive average (104.0 points per game), Orlando is still competitive since their top two defenses only give up 105.7 points per game.

In the meantime, the Atlanta Hawks, who defeated the Washington Wizards 125-111 on Saturday, must protect a two-game winning streak.

With two rebounds and 14 assists to his name, along with 15 of his 35 points from outside the arc, Trae Young remained the Hawks' best player.

With an average of 116.2 points per game (tenth overall), Atlanta is a top-10 offensive team this season, but their defensive performance (118.8 PPG) ranks them 26th.

Boston Celtics vs Miami Heat Preview, What to Watch

On Monday night, the Boston Celtics will play the Miami Heat in the NBA at the Kaseya Center. In the Eastern Conference, the Celts (37-16) are in second place and the Heat (25-25) are in seventh. Now, let's anticipate the match!

After losing 102-86 to the Nets on the road on Friday night, the Miami Heat have been inconsistent lately, splitting their last ten games with five victories and five losses.

Miami as a team shot a dismal 35% from the field and hit 12 of 40 long-range tries, with Terry Rozier being the only player to score more than 20 points.

The Heat, who rank 23rd overall with an average of 110.5 points per game this season, have a top-10 defense that gives up just 110.6 points per game.

The Boston Celtics, meanwhile, will be feeling very good going into this game after defeating the New York Knicks 131-104 on the road on Saturday.

Payton Pritchard scored 25 points off the bench, while Jayson Tatum scored 40 points, including seven threes, in another effort that was deserving of an MVP award.

The  Boston Celtics's are sixth in the league in terms of points allowed per game (108.7) and fifth in terms of points scored per game (117.5).

Charlotte Hornets vs Brooklyn Nets Preview, What to Watch

When the Brooklyn Nets play the Charlotte Hornets at the Barclays Center on Monday, NBA action will resume. In the Eastern Conference, the Hornets (13–37) and Nets (18–34) are ranked 12th and 14th, respectively. Now, let's forecast the match.

After a surprising 102-86 victory over the Miami Heat on Saturday, the Brooklyn Nets have now won four of their last five games, continuing their incredible run.

In their well-rounded team effort, the Nets made 42% of their 93 field goals and had five players score ten points or more to earn their 18th victory of the year.

Despite having the league's second-weakest offense (105.3 points per game), Brooklyn's top-10 defense only gives up 111.7 points per game (eighth overall).

In the meantime, the Charlotte Hornets lost to the Detroit Pistons 112-102 on Saturday without even holding a lead for a second of the game.

Seth Curry made 15 of his 26 points from outside the arc, while Miles Bridges finished with 30 points, 9 rebounds, and 3 assists, but it was insufficient to put them ahead of the Pistons.

Charlotte is ranked 28th overall with an average of 107.0 points per game, but they play better defense, giving up 112.3 points per game (13th overall).

New Orleans Pelicans vs Oklahoma City Thunder Preview, What to Watch

Next up for the Oklahoma City Thunder is the New Orleans Pelicans. According to the Western Conference standings, the two teams are at different ends of the spectrum. Our prediction for this match is below.

The Thunder are on a winning streak once again. This season, this has come to represent them. The last five games have been victories for Mike Daigneault's team.

They now have the top record in the league thanks to their most recent run. Out of 51 games, OKC has won 42. Last time out, they won 125–112 over the Grizzlies, who have the second-best record in the West.

OKC has won both of their encounters with the Pels this season and has Lu Dort and Chet Holmgren ready for selection following injury absences.

The Pelicans have the second-worst record in both conferences and the worst record in the West. They are currently on an eight-game losing run and have dropped 40 of their 52 games.

Last time out, Willie Green's team lost to the Kings 123-118. They are currently on the last night of a four-game road trip. Out of 26 road games, the Pelicans have only achieved four victories.

They have lost 24 out of 30 encounters against other West teams. New Orleans has lost all eight of their previous meetings with Oklahoma City.

Golden State Warriors vs Milwaukee Bucks Preview, What to Watch

In their upcoming NBA game, the struggling Milwaukee Bucks will host the Golden State Warriors. The Warriors are ranked 11th in the Western Conference, while the Bucks are ranked fifth in the Eastern Conference. Continue reading to see our prediction for this game.

The Bucks have had a rough few weeks. They have only managed two victories in their last seven games. But Doc Rivers' team has performed best in Milwaukee, and the majority of their losses in this run have been away from home.

When performing at Fiserv Forum, they have a 17–8 record. Without Giannis Antentokounmpo, the Bucks defeated the visiting Sixers 135-127 in their most recent game to get back to winning ways.

The Warriors have just won a game as well. Steve Kerr's team trounced the Bulls 132-111 in their opening game of a seven-game road trip. Their first two games had ended in defeat.

A new signer Following his trade from the Heat last week, Jimmy Butler made his Chicago debut. In thirty minutes, the forward scored twenty-five points.

The only player listed as injured is Jonothan Kuminga, who is still out for the Warriors. The last time the two clubs faced each other, Golden State won 125-90.

Sacramento Kings vs Dallas Mavericks Preview, What to Watch

Next on the NBA calendar for the Dallas Mavericks is a visit from the Sacramento Kings. With just 1.5 games separating them from the Kings in ninth place in the Western Conference, the Mavericks start this game in eighth place. Our prediction for this match is below.

The last two games have been won by the Dallas Mavericks. This stretch puts an end to a three-game losing streak. The impact of the historic deal involving Anthony Davis and Luka Doncic is still weighing heavily on the squad.

Anthony Davis will not be eligible for selection in this match. Last time out, the 10-time All-Star sustained a muscular ailment during his debut. With 26 points and 16 rebounds, Davis led the Mavs, who have a 28-25 record, in their 116-105 victory over the Rockets.

The Kings ended 2024 with a 110-100 victory at home in their season opener. With one game remaining in this regular season series, they will secure the prizes with another victory.

Last game, Doug Christie's team returned to winning ways, and they will aim to continue their winning streak. The Pelicans were trounced 123-118 at home by Sacramento, who had only won three of their last nine games.

Prior to the victory, they had suffered two straight defeats. Zach LaVine continued his excellent start with the team following his trade from the Bulls and scored 22 points for the second straight game.

Portland Trail Blazers vs Denver Nuggets Preview, What to Watch

In the opening game of their NBA back-to-back, the Portland Trail Blazers will host the Denver Nuggets, who are currently in excellent form. They are 11 games ahead of their visitors in 13th place in the Western Conference going into this matchup. Below is our prediction for this match.

The Nuggets have won six straight games. They are now 34-19 as a result of this. After a quick one-day trip to Phoenix, where they defeated the Suns 122-105, Mike Malone's team is back home.

For the first time this season, Denver wants to win seven straight games. They will be confident in continuing this hot streak after dominating the Blazers at home.

Michael Porter Jr. is questionable, and Russell Westbrook is out due to injury.

The Blazers are keen to defeat the Nuggets this season since they have been playing well lately. After defeating Denver 126-124 in their first meeting, Chauncey Billups' team has won 10 of their previous 12 games.

They have improved to 23 victories in 53 games, although they still have one of the worst records in the West. The Timberwolves ended Portland's six-game winning streak 114-98.

The only players listed in the injury report are regulars Robert Williams and Matisse Thybulle.

Utah Jazz vs Los Angeles Lakers Preview, What to Watch

In their upcoming NBA game, the LA Lakers will host the Utah Jazz. With the fifth seed in the Western Conference going into this game, the Lakers are nearly 20 games ahead of their visitors in 14th place. Continue reading to see our prediction for this game.

The Lakers are convinced they will win since they have been playing well. With a 31-19 record, J.J. Redick's team has won 11 of their past 13 games. They have extended their winning streak to five games with a 124-117 victory over the Pacers.

Due to an ankle injury, LeBron James was unable to play and is questionable versus the Jazz.

But Luka Doncic, who made a huge transfer from the Mavericks, is off the injured report and is anticipated to make his Lakers debut.

This season, the Jazz have lost both of their encounters with the Lakers. They have only managed one victory in the previous seven games and struggled against their soon-to-be hosts.

They might be headed for yet another setback given their difficulties this season. With 39 losses in 51 games, Will Hardy's team has the second-worst record in the Western Conference.

In their last 13 games, the Jazz have only triumphed twice. The previous time they played, they lost to the Clippers 130-110. They gave up at least 130 points for the second straight game.
